Description:
NuBus card provides QuickDraw accelerated video output with 1MB VRAM. Card is rumored to be engineered specifically for use in the IIfx, though acceleration works on any 68030 NuBus host machine and supports accelerating adjacent non-accelerated cards via NuBus block transfer (supported models include the Display Card 4•8; 8•24, Radius VideoVision, etc.) Acceleration is performed by an AMD Am29000 at 30MHz with 64k SRAM and 2MB onboard DRAM for Gworlds, expandable to 4 or 10MB using 64-pin SIMMs which differ from the type used in the IIfx (2 x 1MB SIMMs pictured.) 1MB framebuffer is not upgradeable; pictured Rev B card supports 1,2,4,8,16, and 24-bit color modes (Rev A does not have 16-bit support.) Control panel versions available for up to Systems 6.0.8 and 7.1; 7.1 version accelerates reliably with certain visual artifacts in 7.5, 7.6, and 8.1; will never work if the filename has been altered. Apple claims the card draws 20w of power, though the total rated bus power for all compatible systems allots only 15 watts per slot. The 8•24 GC should therefore be offset by an empty slot, or a card which draws 10w or less.

Description:
601 PDS card provides high-bandwidth unaccelerated video output up to 832x624 resolution at 32-bit color or up to 1152x870 at 16-bit color, though its 2MB frame buffer is 32 bits wide and is divided in half when video input is active. This card brings the x100 Power Macintosh systems to parity with the 68k-based Quadra 660AV and 840AV models when installed. The DAV port has been redesigned for access via ribbon cable, and instead of dedicated composite I/O, adapters are supplied for the built-in S-Video in and out ports. Due to the 32-bit VRAM bus, this card is significantly slower than the HPV cards. The S-Video in port on this card is the only way to receive color video signal while simultaneously powering the Apple VideoPhone camera (QuickTime Video Conferencing Camera 100,) though workarounds exist to utilize this camera on other AV-equipped systems.

Description:
601 PDS card provides high-bandwidth unaccelerated video output with 64 bits wide VRAM interface, 1MB of 80ns VRAM and four SIMM slots for up to 2MB total. Only supports 8, 16, 24-bit color modes. Typically installed in 7100 non-AV models. Can be installed in 6100s with PDS riser or form-compatible G3 upgrade, but the case was not designed for the card's length and may be mitigated by bending the card edge above the drive and protecting it from metal contact.

040 PDS card provides 128k onboard L2 cache, expandable to 256k using '128k upgrade' and 48k 'TAG upgrade' (both pictured) or 512k by also using '256k upgrade' (not pictured.) Card also features two DMA-capable SCSI II interfaces, only accessible when the host is running A/UX. Card is intended for use in the Quadra 950, which is considered a Workgroup Server 95 when installed. This card brings the 950 to relative parity with the IIfx, as its motherboard also featured L2 cache and DMA SCSI, the latter of which was only utilized by A/UX. The card is unusually tall and will not fit in any chassis other than the 9x0; unclear if any support was considered for the 900.
